Mandatory Costs Associated with Your Stay ➤
MANDATORY COSTS FOR YOUR STAY
According to current regulations, some fees are required. They are not reimbursed by Social Security but may be covered by your supplementary insurance. Check with your insurer. Exemptions exist for certain beneficiaries of the State Medical Aid or Complementary Health Solidarity. Full details are available at ameli.fr.
Daily hospital fee: €20 (including discharge day)
This fee contributes to lodging and maintenance costs during hospitalization. It is due for each day of stay, including the discharge day, and does not apply to outpatient procedures. The fee is set by ministerial order.
Flat-rate contribution: €24 per procedure
Social Security contributions help maintain healthcare coverage. The portion you pay is called a “flat-rate contribution” or “co-payment.”
The €24 contribution applies to services costing €120 or more. For services under €120, a co-payment may apply.
No other charges will be billed except for actual healthcare services or specific requests you have made, such as private room access. Charges for special requests will be communicated in advance.
